Rameses is the umbrella name
for a number of small-business enterprises and private
research resources directed by Julia Craig-McFeely (BMus
MMus DPhil oxon)
Rameses started in response to friends and colleagues who
came to me with projects that other people would not take
on, most notably at first with music typesetting jobs
that were too complex for most softwares or setters, and
latterly in finding solutions to work and research
problems that do not involve the principal making
unwanted compromises to work around the deficiencies of
their technology or software. I enjoy the challenge of
doing things that other people say are impossible, and
creating an elegant and pleasing solution that allows the
client the highest level of control over their own data
and output without constant recourse to the programmer.
To this end I provide not only the the technical
solution, but training in its use and ongoing support in
a friendly and non-patronising environment.
The Rameses web area hosts a number of small websites
created for small resources and short term academic web
collaborative projects. It is a non-public website for
the most part, so the pages behind this frontage are not
indexed for search engines, and most of the URLs are
'hidden' since they are designed for private use. However
a few of these sites are public; they are indexed as they
should be, and will be found by search engines.
All work is governed by contract and IPR licence. Please
