Tonkinese

I have been fascinated by the Tonkinese for many years, and have got to know a few Tonkinese breeders. This is a beautiful moderate breed, with lovely temperament and characteristics, and so after breeding for some years to achieve a real weight and strength in my Siamese girls, I now have a queen who had first-generation Tonkinese for her first litter, producing five beautiful first-generation kittens. The father was carefully chosen to create a new bloodline for the breed. The brown girl kept from the litter was mated with Rameses Chaos of the well-known Rameses line, and more recently with Lynda Scott's lovely boy, Nokki, from Rameses and Chinktonks breeding, each time having a lovely litter of kittens.

I am enjoying this exciting journey, and I'm very glad to have the support of a dedicated group of experienced Tonkinese breeders who are also working to increase the Tonkinese gene pool by breeding first generation cats.

Clio

This is Cliopatra, my seal point girl who was the mother to my first litter of Tonkinese (including Marmite pictured below and Netta on my kittens page). Since her excursion into Tonkinese breeding Clio had another lovely litter of Siamese, who are all in their new homes (Sept ’09).

Below is Jacleah Truffle ofRameses (known as Marmite), from my first Tonkinese litter, who has gone to the Rameses household to help continue and support the Tonkinese breed by providing a new bloodline. Her sister, Netta, stayed with me, and has just given me my second second-generation litter (see the kitten page for details). Netta will have Tonkinese again early in 2012.
